Every rule of the patch.

How the pumpkin grows, how it rots, how it gets carved, and what we never do. The numbers here are read from the same file the pumpkin runs on, so they can’t drift.

The pumpkin

There is one pumpkin, and everyone shares it. It lives on the trades of $PUMPKIN. The server watches every buy and sell on Solana as it happens and feeds it to the pumpkin, and every open page sees the same pumpkin at the same moment.

Growing

+10 kg
For every 1 SOL bought. A buy also scrapes off 5% of the rot.

The stages

    Rotting

    +8% rot
    For every 1 SOL sold. It also loses 6 kg.
    +6% an hour
    When nobody buys. After 30 minutes without a buy, it starts to spoil.
    100%
    Rotten through. Buys still heal it, and it’s saved once rot falls under 60%.

    The carving

    At Nov 1, 00:00 UTC (Halloween night, 8pm in New York) the server carves the pumpkin by itself. Nobody picks the face. It depends only on how the pumpkin looks at that moment, and afterwards it stops changing and stays lit.

      150 kg or more, little rot.

    • Grin

      Everything else that’s healthy.

    • Crooked

      35% to 70% rot.

    • Scary

      70% rot or more.

    Planting a seed

    1. Hold $5 worth of $PUMPKIN. The dollar amount becomes a token count at the current price, locked in for you when you plant.
    2. Name your seed. Up to 24 letters, numbers and punctuation. No links, handles, tickers, addresses or slurs.
    3. Sign one free message. The server checks your real balance and plants it. Bigger bag, bigger plant.

    Top feeders

    Ranked by total SOL bought on the pump.fun curve, read from each trade. Every row links to the buyer’s latest transaction on Solscan. After the coin graduates to PumpSwap, buys still feed the pumpkin, but the buyer’s wallet isn’t read yet, so they don’t move the board.

    Plant one named seed per wallet.

    Change the pumpkin directly.

    The dev

    Hide an abusive seed name. Set the launch and carving times, published here and not moved once live.

    Feed it, rot it or pick the face.

    This site never asks you to approve a transaction. The only signature it ever asks for is the free seed message.

    What we keep

    The pumpkin’s numbers, the feeder board (wallet, SOL bought, latest transaction), the seeds (wallet, name, balance when checked) and the almanac log. All of it is public on the page anyway. No emails, no cookies, no tracking.

    Questions

    Is the pumpkin real, or animated to look busy?

    Before launch, the page plays a preview with simulated trades and says so twice: a red PREVIEW stamp on the weigh-in tag, and a note under the scene. From launch, every change comes from a real trade.

    Can someone rot it on purpose?

    Yes, by selling. That’s the game. Buys heal it.

    What if nobody trades for a day?

    It rots through. Later buys can still save it, right up until the carving.

    Where is the official CA?

    In the top bar of the main page (a bar along the bottom on phones), the moment the coin exists, and on @PumpkinPatchSol. Only trust the address posted there.

    Is this financial advice?

    No. It’s a pumpkin.
